Appointed as Superintendent on January 2, 2025, Jeremy Smalline brings more than two decades of dedicated service to the Greece Central School District. His journey with Greece Central began in 2005 as an administrative intern at Longridge Elementary School, following a strong foundation as a classroom teacher in another district. From that pivotal start, he has served in key leadership roles, including assistant principal, principal, director, assistant superintendent, and deputy superintendent, each preparing him to lead the district forward.
Throughout his career, Smalline has been guided by a single core belief: the power of collaboration. He believes strong, trusting relationships with students, families, staff, and the community are the cornerstone of a successful school district.
Smalline's vision for Greece Central is both ambitious and student-centered. With a steadfast commitment to enhancing instructional practices and increasing equity, Smalline is working to create a learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. He is a passionate advocate for personalized learning, working to expand access to specialized programs that prepare students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. Reflecting on his tenure, Smalline emphasizes the importance of Greece Central’s deeply rooted culture of care and excellence.
“I’ve stayed in Greece for 20 years because this district is special. It’s a place where people care deeply about students and are committed to helping them succeed,” he says. “One of my proudest accomplishments is the collaborative work we’ve done to enhance instructional practices and increase equity.”
Under his leadership, Smalline is focused on fostering a culture of high expectations paired with robust support, ensuring safe and inclusive schools, and empowering every student to achieve their fullest potential.
