About Greece Central’s UPK Program

The Greece Central School District (GCSD) is proud to offer a high-quality Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) program at no cost to Greece residents. Our full-day and half-day programs support early learning in a nurturing environment focused on social development, creativity, decision-making, and school readiness.

Before & After School Care
All Greece Central UPK sites now offer before and after school care options.

For ELC programs, please refer to the KidsCare flyer for on-site childcare details and pricing.
For external UPK sites, families must contact the site directly for before/after school options. Families are responsible for arranging all childcare.

Eligibility & Application Process
The application process for the 2026–2027 school year opens December 15, 2025.

Eligibility:
Children who turn 4 years old on or before December 1, 2026 may enroll in UPK for the 2026–27 school year.

Twins/Multiples:
Submit one application and list all children. They will be placed at the same site and time.

Lottery Information:
To be included in the UPK lottery, applications must be submitted by March 1, 2026.

• All on-time applications are entered into a computerized random lottery.

• Acceptance letters and registration instructions will be sent the last week of March 2026.

• If not selected, families will receive a waitlist letter.

• Children must be fully registered with GCSD to participate.
