Office of Student Transportation Overview

  • The Office of Student Transportation Services is responsible for providing the safe and efficient transportation to Greece Central School District students, as well as those who attend private, parochial and charter schools. This includes the training of drivers, attendants, and students as mandated by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and the New York State Department of Education. Walk Ride Distances

    • Bus service is provided for all students in kindergarten through fifth grade who live more than 1,056 ft from school (2/10 mil). Our district also provides bus service for students in grades 6-8 who live more than 1 mile from school and for students in grades 9-12 who live more than 1-1/2 miles from school. The Transportation Department will determine a student’s walking distance by measuring from the end of the student’s driveway to the entrance of the school where students board and disembark from buses utilizing sidewalks, roadways or other pathways maintained by the school district or the Town of Greece.
      **Please note:
Transportation is not provided for students who attend district pre-kindergarten programs.
