  • Residents Sought for Health & Safety Committee

The Commissioner of Education's Regulation 8 NYCRR 155 requires that a Health and Safety Committee be formed to monitor construction safety at work sites. To that end, a committee has been formed with district personnel and we are soliciting participation from other interested parties including staff, labor unions, parents, etc.

The Greece Central School District today was made aware of a damaging Instagram post originally shared by a student in 2017. When the post resurfaced today, school officials immediately opened an investigation and spoke directly with all involved. As a district, we pledge to take action by continuing to review our policies and practices, increasing culturally responsive professional development, updating our curriculum to be culturally relevant, and listening and responding to the experiences of our families of color. We know that there is much more to do.
