Greece Central Names New Odyssey, Olympia Principals

The Greece Central School District Board of Education recently approved the appointment of Corey Hepburn as the new principal of Odyssey Academy and Sheri Webber as Principal of Olympia School. Both of these secondary schools serve students in grades 6-12.

Corey Hepburn
Principal, Odyssey Academy

The Greece Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Corey Hepburn as Odyssey Academy Principal.

Mr. Hepburn comes to Greece from the Rochester City School District where he currently is a school principal.  Additionally, he served as vice principal at the largest high school in the Syracuse City School District and was previously recognized as New Teacher of the Year for his focus on the development of healthy relationships and differentiating his instructional practices to support all students.

Greece Superintendent Kathleen Graupman said a hiring committee comprised of teachers, support staff members, parents, students, and administrators helped to select Mr. Hepburn. They saw him as the perfect fit because he is incredibly thoughtful, hardworking, and personable.

“Mr. Hepburn is a dynamic leader who embraces opportunities for growth and recognizes the importance of relationships,” Graupman said. “His proven success with the implementation of various academic and social/emotional programs in previous districts is impressive and exactly what we were looking for in a principal. We are excited to have him in Greece.”

As the leader of Odyssey Academy, Mr. Hepburn will focus on relationship building and cultivating a culture where students and educators alike are actively engaged and invested.

“I see parts of myself in every child and I use my unique perspective to make connections that ultimately impact learning,” he said. “I am committed to supporting a culture of learning in Odyssey that targets the diverse needs of all.”

Mr. Hepburn looks forward to building new relationships when he begins his new role on July 1.

He is taking over for outgoing Principal Jeff Henley, who accepted a district-level administrative position within Greece Central.

Sheri Webber
Principal, Olympia School

The Greece Central School District is excited to announce that Sheri Webber has been selected as Olympia School’s next principal.

Dr. Webber comes to Greece from Eastridge Senior High School, where she is currently an assistant principal, having served in that capacity for the last seven years. Dr. Webber previously worked in the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District where she worked as a math teacher and an administrative intern.

Dr. Webber is looking forward to growing as an educational leader in Greece. She is ready to work and lead on behalf of the Olympia community.

“My first priority will be to listen, she said. “I want to hear from staff, families, and students on what work they believe needs to happen at Olympia. Their voices will be critical in guiding my choices as principal.”

That passion for learning and commitment to educational equity, is what led a hiring committee comprised of teachers, support staff members, parents, students, and administrators to select Dr. Webber, according to Superintendent Graupman.

“Dr. Webber is an educational leader whose passion and enthusiasm are contagious,” Graupman said. “Her dedication to ensuring that Olympia provides the highest quality education to each and every student is evident. Dr. Webber is a leader focused on building relationships, and ensuring high standards and equitable outcomes for our students. We are thrilled to have her in Greece.”

Dr. Webber looks forward to building on the strong foundation established by outgoing principal, Marc Fleming, who accepted a district-level administrative position within Greece Central. She begins in her new role on July 1.
