District Names New Executive Director of HR, New Craig Hill Principal
The Greece Central School District Board of Education this month approved the appointment of Gina Larsen as Executive Director of Human Resources and Brandin Jones as Principal of Craig Hill Elementary School.
Executive Director of Human Resources
The Greece Central School District is pleased to announce the promotion of long-time Arcadia High School administrator Gina Larsen to Executive Director of Human Resources.
Mrs. Larsen came to Greece in 2004 as an assistant principal at Arcadia High School and was promoted to principal in 2015. Before coming to Greece, she worked as a physical education teacher in the Buffalo area.
Greece Superintendent Kathleen Graupman said Larsen was the perfect fit for the new human resources position because she is incredibly bright, hardworking, and has a natural ability to lead and collaborate.
“Gina’s lengthy tenure as a building level leader in Greece has provided critical experience and allowed her to develop strong relationships and knowledge of our systems,” Graupman said. “She will be a welcomed addition to district office.”
As Executive Director, Mrs. Larsen will oversee a variety of areas including the hiring and in processing of certified staff, as well as contract negotiations and labor management for the several employee groups.
“I look forward to joining the Human Resources team and providing support to our district and employees,” she said. “I am thankful for my years at Arcadia High School where I was able to work with an incredible team of administrators, teachers, and staff. I will miss my students and families but will always keep my Titan spirit with me.”
Mrs. Larsen is excited to continue her career in Greece Central, which she described as a second home and family. She looks forward to building new relationships when she begins her new role on July 1.
Principal of Craig Hill Elementary School
The Greece Central School District is excited to announce that Brandin Jones has been selected as Craig Hill Elementary School’s next principal. Mr. Jones is currently an assistant principal at Odyssey Academy, a role he has held since 2017.
Mr. Jones started his career in the Rochester City School District as a special education teacher, later serving as the coordinating administrator for special education. Having spent much of his career in secondary education, Mr. Jones is looking forward to growing as an educational leader, and he wants members of the Craig Hill community to know that he is ready to work and lead on their behalf.
“My first priority will be to listen, he said. “I want to hear from staff, families, and students on what work they believe needs to happen at Craig Hill. Their voices will be critical in guiding my choices as principal. In addition, I want to learn as much as I can about the history of Craig Hill.”
That passion for learning and commitment to educational equity, made Mr. Jones a great fit for Craig Hill, according to Superintendent Kathy Graupman.
“Mr. Jones is an educational leader whose passion and enthusiasm are contagious,” she added. “He leads by example and supports students, staff and families. Mr. Jones is a leader focused on building relationships, and ensuring high standards and equitable outcomes for our students. We are thrilled to have him in Greece.”
Mr. Jones, too, is excited to continue his career in Greece. He is looking forward to meeting the students, families, and staff and developing meaningful relationships in the Craig Hill school community.
“It is the relationships that will help us blossom," he said.
Mr. Jones will assume his new role on July 1, following the retirement of long-time Craig Hill principal Melissa Pacelli.
