The GCSD will be involved in a number of construction projects this summer throughout the district. The Commissioner of Education's Regulation 8 NYCRR 155 requires that a Health and Safety Committee be formed to monitor construction safety at work sites. To that end, a committee has been formed with district personnel and we are soliciting participation from other interested parties including staff, labor unions, parents, etc. A meeting has been set for Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 11 a.m. to noon at Odyssey Academy and Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Brookside Elementary from 11 a.m. to noon.
